Death & Rebirth

 I am Icarus, you are the Sun,

Closer I get to you more I burn.

Till there's nothing left of me in me

Till I'm drowned in the eternal sea.

The warmth of your fingers melt my wings,

Slowly I fall to the ground it brings,

Slowly I forget about my life

Which I built on the edge of a knife.

Now watch me falling high from the sky,

Shattering my bones, breaking my life.

Look at me bleed as I slowly die,

Become a spectre, still asking, "Why?"

Lo and Behold! As I form again!

Rising towards from where comes the rain!

Stare at me flying, touching the sun;

This time to lose things, I don't have one.

Bled all the blood that I could have bled.

Turned all the walls and the floor scarlet.

Bathed myself in the Red I have shed.

Can't kill me again, I'm already dead.
